Περισσότεροι από 500 αθλητές, συνοδοί και φίλοι της ποδηλασίας βρέθηκαν το Σαββατοκύριακο 29 Απριλίου- 30 Απριλίου στο νησί της Θάσου, με αφορμή το 16ο Διεθνές Ποδηλατικό Διήμερο. Η διοργάνωση της Περιβαλλοντικής κίνησης και της οργανωτικής ομάδας MTBR Thassos, επέστρεψε μετά από απουσία 2 χρόνων με την διεξαγωγή του ΓΥΡΟΥ ΘΑΣΟΥ και του MTB THASSOS CUP.
Το Σάββατο 29 Απριλίου στην εκκίνηση του ΓΥΡΟΥ ΘΑΣΟΥ βρέθηκαν περίπου 300 αθλητές. Με νικητή τον Βούλγαρο αθλητή της TZAR SIMEON SIMEON ZHELEV και χρόνο 4:29:53, με τον ίδιο χρόνο ο επίσης Βούλγαρος αθλητής μέλος της ομάδας MAMUT, DIMITAR DIMITROV βρέθηκε στην δεύτερη θέση με τρίτο τον επίσης Βούλγαρο MARTIN STEFANOF της BLUE ROCKS και ίδιο χρόνο. Στις γυναίκες νικήτρια αναδείχθηκε με 4:32:08 η Ρουμάνα ALEXANDRA CIOCLU ακολοθούμενη από την δεύτερη Βουλγάρα αθλήτρια της LEVSKI MIHAELA GROZDANOVA με χρόνο 4:41:27 και τρίτη την Ρουμάνα PLESCA-IOANA RUXANDRA με χρόνο 4:44:17. Καλύτερος ‘Ελληνας ο ΔΗΜΗΤΡΗΣ ΧΡΙΣΤΟΔΟΥΛΟΥ του PEGASUS XANTHIS με χρόνο 4:30:56 στην 13η θέση.
Την Κυριακή, 100 αθλητές βρέθηκαν στην εκκίνηση του 16ου MTB THASSOS CUP, το οποίο επέστρεψε ανανεωμένο από πέρυσι όπου οι αθλητές μπορούν πλέον να απολαύσουν την μοναδική θέα του κόλπου των Κοινύρων με το ομώνυμο νησάκι. Νικητής του αγώνα ανακηρύχτηκε ο Βούλγαρος VLADISLAV GYUROV και χρόνο 2:57:02 ακολουθούμενος από τον επίσης Βούλγαρο MARTIN STEFANOF της BLUE ROCKS με χρόνο 2:58:15, την τριάδα την συμπλήρωσε ο επίσης Βούλγαρος Dimitar Dimitrov της MAMUT με χρόνο 2:58:54, είναι άξιο αναφοράς ότι ο συγκεκριμένος αθλητής έρχεται 17 συναπτά χρόνια στο νησί μας με αφορμή το ποδηλατικό διήμερο. Στις γυναίκες νικήτρια η Βουλγάρα YOANA VALKANOVA της COOP με χρόνο 3:49:02, δεύτερη η Βουλγάρα επίσης OLENA DOBRANYTSIA με χρόνο 4:05:51 και τρίτη την Ρουμάνα NEAGA ADRIANA με χρόνο 4:17:57. Καλύτερος ‘Ελληνας ο ΔΗΜΗΤΡΗΣ ΜΗΤΡΟΥΛΑΣ με χρόνο 4:00:22 στην 24η θέση.
Νικητές του ποδηλατικού Διημέρου (συμμετοχή και στους 2 αγώνες) αναδείχθηκαν οι εξής:

Χάρη λοιπόν σε αυτούς καταφέραμε να έχουμε οργανωτικά μια από τις καλύτερες χρονιές, λαμβάνοντας πολλά συγχαρητήρια από τους συμμετέχοντες αθλητές του διημέρου. Ανανεώνουμε το ραντεβού μας για τον επόμενο χρόνο.
17th THASSOS CYCLING WEKEND 2023
More than 500 athletes, companions and friends of cycling were on the weekend of April 29-30 on the island of Thassos, on the occasion of the 16th International Cycling Biday. The organization of the Environmental Movement and the MTBR Thassos organizing team, returned after an absence of 2 years with the THASSOS ROUND and the MTB THASSOS CUP.
On Saturday, April 29, there were approximately 300 athletes at the start of the ROUND OF THASOS. With the winner the Bulgarian athlete of TZAR SIMEON SIMEON ZHELEV and a time of 4:29:53, with the same time the also Bulgarian athlete member of the MAMUT team, DIMITAR DIMITROV was in second place with the third also the Bulgarian MARTIN STEFANOF of BLUE ROCKS and the same time . In the women’s category, the Romanian ALEXANDRA CIOCLU emerged as the winner with 4:32:08, followed by the second Bulgarian LEVSKI athlete MIHAELA GROZDANOVA with a time of 4:41:27 and the third Romanian PLESCA-IOANA RUXANDRA with a time of 4:44:17. The best Greek was DIMITRIS CHRISTODOULOU of PEGASUS XANTHIS with a time of 4:30:56 in 13th place.
On Sunday, 100 athletes were at the start of the 16th MTB THASSOS CUP, which returned renewed from last year where the athletes can now enjoy the unique view of the Kinira Bay with the islet of the same name. The winner of the race was the Bulgarian VLADISLAV GYUROV with a time of 2:57:02 followed by the also Bulgarian MARTIN STEFANOF of BLUE ROCKS with a time of 2:58:15, the trio was completed by the also Bulgarian Dimitar Dimitrov of MAMUT with a time of 2:58 :54, it is worth mentioning that this particular athlete has been coming to our island for 17 consecutive years on the occasion of the Thassos cycling weekend.
